The purpose of the General Conditions of Use herein is to define the procedures for access to and further use of the content and data contained in the "centrepompidou.fr" site and the Centre Pompidou ecosystem.
The Centre Pompidou reserves the right to make or not to make substantial alterations to the General Conditions of Use herein at any time without notice.
The general structure of the Site is the exclusive property of the Centre Pompidou. It is provided in accordance with the terms of CeCILL licence v.2 (http://www.cecill.info/licences/Licence_CeCILL_V2-fr.html)
The brands of the Centre Pompidou and its partners, together with the logos featured on the Site, are registered trademarks filed with the INPI (National Institute of Intellectual Property) and as such are protected by intellectual property rights.
It is strictly prohibited to reproduce these brands and/or logos in whole or in part using elements of the Site without the express authorisation of the Centre Pompidou or their owners; any such use constitutes an infringement offence, according to the Intellectual Property Code.
The term "Resources" includes all content presented in the Site's resource centre, including fixed and animated images, screen captures, illustrations, texts, complete works or excerpts and sound files (recordings of conferences, interviews, works or parts of musical works, sound installations, etc.).
The Site resource centre does not include the so-called "institutional" part, meaning information, at the date of the General Conditions of Use, in the sections entitled "The Centre Pompidou" and "Your Visit", available on the Home Page.
The Centre Pompidou provides web users with these Resources, which are protected by current laws as to their use. Authorisation for any further use must be requested directly from the rights holders, the copyright management associations representing them or, if need be, the Centre Pompidou.
Without such authorisation, any reproduction or total or partial representation, and any use, adaptation, provision or modification of these elements is strictly prohibited and constitutes an infringement offence, according to the Intellectual Property Code.
All credits for Resources can be viewed by web users on the page where they are presented. The Centre Pompidou undertakes to check the accuracy of the information it provides to web users. Should this information contain any inaccuracies or errors, it undertakes to make every effort for these to be corrected as soon as possible.
According to act no. 78-753 of 17 July 1978 concerning measures for improved relations between the administration and the public, certain Site contents are considered as administrative documents, notably information content.
In this respect, and according to Section II of this act concerning the re-use of public information, the information contained in these documents can be re-used according to the conditions stipulated by this section: notably that the information is not altered, that its meaning is not distorted and that its sources and the date of its most recent update are indicated. This re-use must be compliant with copyright.
Ownership of public administrative information is not in any way transferred to the re-user. Any person re-using public information in infringement of statutory requirements is subject to a fine ordered by the commission for access to administrative documents and legal proceedings.

This service is provided by the Centre National d'Art et de Culture Georges-Pompidou; users have access to it via the "centrepompidou.fr" website and various mobile applications produced by the Centre Pompidou. Any use of the service described in article 2 implies that users undertake to respect the conditions of use herein together with the website's General Conditions of Use.
The Centre Pompidou provides users with the option of using a personal space (hereinafter "the Service") on the site, in which they can find all the pages or digital content of the resource centre they wish to save in their "favourites", and manage the personal information associated with this account. The majority of site elements can be added to this "personal space": if so, they are indicated by the "add to favourites" icon shown beside these elements.
In their personal space, users can also create a list or a compilation of links to one or more digital contents of the resource centre, called "Circuits".
Users can request to become "contributors" through their personal spaces. Once the request is approved by the Centre Pompidou, this function gives them access to different types of contributions, described below, enabling them to add to the site's resource centre.
Types of contributions:
Users can propose a so-called open "Contribution" to the Centre Pompidou. Centre Pompidou agents will then process this Contribution and decide whether to publish it on the site, or modify it.
Users can also propose a Contribution in the form of collaborative keywords, by attributing it to a Resource. This keyword is selected from the thesaurus provided by the Centre Pompidou. It is possible to suggest the addition of a keyword not contained in the thesaurus: in this case, the keyword is validated by the Centre Pompidou agents in the thesaurus before being potentially added to the Resource.
A keyword can be accompanied by a comment. The purpose of this is to explain the reason for the indexation to other contributors.
Users who provide Contributions guarantee the Centre Pompidou that their Contributions contain no elements constituting defamatory or abusive remarks made punishable by the Freedom of the Press Act of 29 July 1981 on defamation, abuse and incitement to racial hatred, which is applicable to the Internet.
The use of the above-mentioned Service is subject to an obligation of authentication.
This authentication is enabled by signing up to the Service. The information transmitted by users when they sign up must be true, accurate, complete and up-to-date. Users must provide a valid nominative electronic address so that the Centre Pompidou can send them the password enabling them to identify themselves.
The Centre Pompidou grants users free, personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive authorisation to access the Service, subject to the strict respect of the General Conditions of Use herein, which users acknowledge having duly noted and unreservedly accepted before signing up.
The Service may become temporarily unavailable. If this happens, the Centre Pompidou will do everything in its power to restore access to the Service as soon as possible.
The Centre Pompidou may make any modifications to the Service, its content and/or its access conditions without any warning, notification, or indemnity. It may remove a Circuit or a Contribution at any time. Consequently, the Centre Pompidou may under no circumstances be held responsible for any effects arising from the modification, discontinuation or removal of the Service for any reason, including technical constraints.
The Centre Pompidou also reserves the right to temporarily suspend the possibility of contributing to one or more Resources. It may also ban a user from the contribution module if the General Conditions of Use herein are not respected.
If users log on to their "personal space" from a public place, they must be sure to log off before leaving the place to prevent any third party from accessing their personal space.
Access to the Service by any other means than the interfaces provided by the Centre Pompidou is forbidden, together with any attempt to access, modify or reproduce the source codes of software or applications enabling access to the Site and/or the Service.
Users are invited to refer to article 3 of the Site's General Conditions of Use.
All data created by users while using their personal spaces, whether Contributions or Circuits, are covered by the Creative Commons CC-BY licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/fr/).
The Centre Pompidou may make use of users' Circuits and Contributions in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons CC-BY licence, intellectual property law and more generally the current laws.
The Centre Pompidou authorises access to the Service from any country, subject to the current local legislation. Any users accessing the Service from a computer located outside France expressly acknowledge that they have noted, understood and unreservedly agreed to the terms of the General Conditions herein.
Any modifications of the General Conditions of Use herein are deemed to have been accepted by users.
The General Conditions of Use herein are entirely subject to French law. In the event of a dispute concerning the execution of the General Conditions of Use herein, users of the Service and the Centre Pompidou shall endeavour to resolve this dispute amicably; otherwise they shall recognise the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Paris.
The Centre Pompidou does everything within its power to ensure the accuracy of information regarding intellectual property rights for digital contents shown on its site. If such information is inaccurate, it makes every effort to change it as quickly as possible.
In compliance with its commitments, the Centre Pompidou provides a special contact form for information exchanges and requests to correct such data.
