'Mutations / Créations' is a new event focusing on futurology and the interaction of digital technologies with creation, combining art, innovation and science. For its first edition, this multi-disciplinary event is bringing together music, design and architecture with two exhibitions: Imprimer le monde, Ross Lovergrove and Vertigo.

The Pompidou Centre is devoting its first “prospective retrospective” to the work of industrial designer, Ross Lovegrove, who defends a global vision of design, drawing initial inspiration from nature’s evolutionary process. The exhibition reflects on this search for a new paradigm of creation combining art, design, technology and nature.
According to Ross Lovegrove, the designer is the interpreter or the ‘sculptor’ of technology.
“Design is a field which is perpetually being reinvented. As it involves transforming natural resources into useful objects, the designer is at the heart of current ecological issues which affect not only our own emotional well-being and surroundings aesthetically, but also our collective conscience as human beings, which is forever rapidly evolving and to which we must constantly adapt.” Ross Lovegrove
