Alewya is a child of many worlds: born to an Ethiopian mother and an Egyptian father, and raised in West London, she is a multi-hyphenate artist, singer, musician, painter and sculptor. Alewya draws from many worlds, too. At home, her parents’ Arabian and East African music influence gave her a spiritual release, with revolutionary singer Teddy Afro and jazz icon Mulatu Astatke on rotation, alongside drum-heavy sounds infused with the meditative strings of the krar and masenqo. Out in the streets, London’s pulsing sound-systems gave her a physical release, raving to funky house drums, junglist breakbeats and the meditative bass weight of Caribbean dub music.

In 2012, he released the album By Your Side, followed by Still Waters in 2016. His success led him to perform at clubs and festivals all over the world (Coachella, Sonar, Summersonic...) and to skillfully remix some of the biggest artists of the time (Kavinsky, Parcels, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Justice, Air, Metronomy...) Producer, remixer, and singer of Outlines, Parisian artist Christopher Irfane Khan-Acito lent his voice to the iconic Baby I’m Yours by his friend Breakbot, with whom he regularly performs.  Les Sisyphe

 Friday 24 Oct., 5 - 5:30pm

Julie Nioche, dancer and choreographer, approaches dance as a space for research, aiming to make sensitivities and imaginaries visible. Les Sisyphe is a sequence of jumps performed to the song The End by The Doors, generating an endless motion from the performers. These jumps serve as both political and aesthetic assertions. Performed by an amateur troupe, the piece invites audiences to experience a collective act in the expression of resistance reviving the memory of a piece that, in 2009, left a lasting mark on the history of the Centre Pompidou.

It was in the early 1990s, with his breakout hit Rhythm Is Love, that audiences first encountered this artist electrified by the spirit of blues and funk. A committed artist, Keziah Jones has never shied away from embracing pop. The inventor of an unmistakable sound he dubbed blufunk, he remains deeply rooted in his Nigerian heritage while staying proudly nomadic at heart.  It was at the Centre Pompidou, in 2021, that he came to reflect on his journey, the profound impact of his encounter with Fela Kuti, and the collision of musical worlds that converge in his work.

C’est là aussi que la future diva croise Amadou Bagayoko, avec qui elle se marie et forme un duo. An actor known for his role in the 2019 hit Les Crevettes pailletées (The Shiny Shrimps), he is also a fashion designer, singer, and was one of the leading figures of the renowned Parisian cabaret Madame Arthur. For Le Surgissement –in echo of the performance conceived at the Grand Palais with the Centre Pompidou’s Extra! SMITH develops an undisciplined practice at the crossroads of worlds, exploring the thresholds between visible and invisible, human and more-than-human, science and spirituality. Installations, films, and performances make up a practice where technologies (thermal cameras, implants, spatial devices) and rituals (meditation, trance, dreams) intertwine. Their work interrogates the body as a site of metamorphosis and hybridization. Represented in the collections of the Centre Pompidou and exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo and the Rencontres d’Arles, SMITH will have a solo exhibition at MAC VAL in 2026.

Through his tracks, TH blends the raw authenticity of French trap with original, futuristic sounds—at times flirting with electro—and a highly visual style of writing. Born in Bondy and shaped by a strong musical background that constantly drives him to explore new ground, rapper TH has carved out a genre of his own following two standout EPs, Signal and Signal II. He embodies a style he calls E-Trap: the fusion of street rap crafted with precision and a deep fascination with new technologies—born, fittingly, during a session with one of his beatmakers, when TH "made the computer crash".
