Social mediators
Are you an employee or a voluntary worker in the social domain? Are you in contact with economically or socially vulnerable adults or children in situations of exclusion who are unfamiliar with cultural institutions?
Since it opened, the Centre Pompidou has endeavoured to enable a maximum number of people to access its collection, its programme and its visit and workshop offers.
We thus implement a deliberately inclusive policy designed to create and cultivate conditions to promote encounters and sharing around art works and creative practices. This commitment is based on the principle that each person is a cultural subject who has to right to education and information, the right to participate in cultural life and the right to free artistic expression. The Centre Pompidou thus situates its action in line with cultural rights that seek to increase the freedom, responsibility and capabilities of all.
The Centre Pompidou has been committed to the Living Together Mission since 2004, designing a variety of cultural offers combined with advantageous tariffs and customised support for professionals and voluntary workers in the social and medico-social fields.

In order to avail of the right to speak as a guide, benefit from free group visits, and our training courses, you must first be registered as a social mediator with the Centre Pompidou.
Register online
Then participate in a "First Meeting" for new mediators in order to enable us to get to know each other better.
At this meeting you will be able to discover the diversity of the Centre Pompidou offers, and to exchange ideas on how to prepare and conduct your future group visits.

Once you have been registered as a mediator, you will receive a monthly newsletter keeping you abreast of the programme and appointments provided for mediators.
Advantages
Annual membership at reduced rates
If you wish to come to the Centre Pompidou frequently in order to prepare your visits or to discover the diversity of its programme, the Solo 1 year membership card provides unlimited access to Centre Pompidou spaces.
The special rate for mediators is €27 instead of €49.

Free visits (free)
Visit the Centre Pompidou museum's temporary exhibitions and permanent collection whenever you wish.
Guided visits (free)
Discover the temporary exhibitions and permanent collection with guides providing customised mediation, in which sharing and exchanges around reactions to art works play a major role.

Circuits in the collection (free)
Discover our new circuits formats designed especially for families and young visitors from 2 to 10 years old, in the contemporary collection. With an actress or a musician, discover the works of art in a theatrical or musical, but always playfun way!

Cosy visits (free)
Invite your public to a baby-sized visit enabling parents and children to discover one of the collection's art works. Each visit introduces your small family-sized group to the history of an art work through multi-sensory discovery. "Cosy visits" are a special moment for tiny tots (0-2 years old) and their parents, enabling them to share an original experience of the museum in the course of an entertaining and poetic visit.
Cosy visits are provided every Wednesday from 10 am to 12 am and from 11 am to 1 pm (except during summer holidays).
Groups of 16 people per visit (with a minimum of 1 adult for every two children).

Group visits must be reserved:
- for Conference visits, Cicuits and Cosy visits: at least 5 weeks in advance, and paid for no later than 21 days before the date of your visit
- for Free visits (without a guide): at least 7 days before the date of your visit
We recommend that you book as early as possible to ensure that the desired slot is available.
Live shows
As a social mediator at the Centre Pompidou you are entitled to a preferential rate for all shows: €5 per participant, on condition of purchasing at least 10 tickets for the same show at the same time.
Target audience: the general public, depending on the programme.
Certain shows are open to a young audience.

Film
Would you like to bring your public to see a film in the Centre Pompidou? You can obtain invitations for some showings in cycles and retrospectives.
Target audience: the general public, depending on the programme.
Films shown in their original language are subtitled in French.

Artistic digressions
Let yourself be surprised and guided differently by the members of the Art Session collective, young volunteers aged 18 to 25 who are actively involved in Centre Pompidou cultural projects. These young people use the "Artistic digressions" service to offer a customised discovery of the Centre Pompidou in a friendly manner based on dialogue, respect for all cultures, and participation.
The "Artistic digressions" prioritise a progressive and pro-active mode of discovery:
- 1st stage: a meeting with the volunteers in your structure;
- 2nd stage: a meeting with the volunteers in the Centre Pompidou and a favourites visit in small groups;
- 3rd stage: a creative workshop in the Centre Pompidou.
Target audience: young adults aged 18 to 25.

Studio 13/16
Studio 13/16 is a space reserved exclusively for adolescents that endeavours to enable adolescents to discover creation and to demonstrate that places of culture are also places of socialisation, pleasure and sharing. This is a space where adolescents can come as often as they like, to realise their ideas and learn new techniques using the media platform, or simply to relax and make friends.
A high point of this artistic and cultural experience: encounters with today's creators! Workshop cycles designed by and with artists enable all to imagine their own personal projects.
Target audience: adolescents aged 11 to 18.
The adolescents are welcomed by mediators continuously from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm:
- Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays during school terms;
- every day except Tuesday during school holidays.
1 day, 1 art work
"1 day, 1 art work" is an awareness-building programme for art and creation that is conducted outside the museum essentially for families, art-lovers and people with little knowledge of modern or contemporary art as exhibited in the Pompidou.
For one day, a major art work from the collection of the Centre Pompidou is presented free of charge to the public outside the museum context. It is presented by a curator from the Musée National d'Art Moderne, and leads to a hands-on artistic workshop for children and their parents.
In 2018, the "1 day, 1 art work" operation thus visited Robert Debré hospital (Paris, 19), the prison in the Hauts-de-Seine department, the emergency accommodation centre for migrants in Ivry-sur-Seine. In Ivry, the presentation of the work was translated in turn into Arabic, Dari, Pashto and English in order to enable a maximum number of people to engage in the exchange.

Conversation workshops
The Centre Pompidou and the Bpi provide free conversation workshops in French as a Foreign Language among the museum's collection. These workshops are conducted by librarians from the Bpi (native French speakers) and organised around the works presented in the museum.
Target audience: people with a basic knowledge of French (intermediate level)
