Altamira 2042 is a polyphonic performance transformed into an immersive installation by Brazilian researcher, performer and artist Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha, which plunges us into the heart of the anger of the Amazonian forest.

Since its construction in Brazil in 2012, the Belo Monte, the world's third largest hydroelectric river dam, has created a massive ecological catastrophe that has wreaked havoc on the local fauna and flora, forcing the displacement of thousands of people far from the banks of the Xingu River. More than giving a voice to the Xingu River and nature, Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha succeeds in creating "listening conditions" so that the entities (humans, fauna and flora) whose lives have been overturned by the dam can be heard, transforming what could be documentary theatre into a powerful collective ritual of exorcism.

Meetings with the artist and his guests are organised in the margins of the performances on Thursday 16, Friday 17 and Saturday 18 March
