In 1977, the composer Dieter Schnebel founded the Maulwerker Ensemble: “specialists, at the crossroads of music and theatre, music and language, who operate in the place where music and space, sound and silence come together”. In 2000, the ensemble took possession of the open score of Glossolalies in order to create a new stage version of this famous vocal opus for eight performers.
