Tacita Dean

After having accompanied Merce Cunningham in the rehearsal of Stillness in 2007, artist Tacita Dean continued working with him and filmed, just before his death in 2010, the performance of one of his "Events" in Craneway. Dean had an incredibly deep understanding of the concentration and precision of Cunningham but also the movement of the dancers, and the long periods of suspense which existed in the space-time of rehearsals.
