A fashion and design factory is set up in Studio 13/16 to experiment with a contemporary material: jersey, the fabric of elegance, according to Gabrielle Chanel! As she said, "By inventing jersey, I liberated the body and abandoned the waist." It was on seeing these bathing suits that the designer Pierre Paulin had the idea of covering armchairs in jersey fabric. "Made in Jersey" sets out to explore this material through the curves, forms and line it imposes, which make it possible to design clothing and seating that are comfortable and aesthetic. Dancers, designers and stylists consider notions of design, ergonomics, fashion and movement in terms of jersey.
