Ready-made : chosen images

At the heart of the issues raised by ready-made objects, the idea of choice was decisive in the thinking of Marcel Duchamp. While the experimental practices of re-using images are defined by the category of "found footage", in the works chosen for this programme, particular attention has been given to the gestures of appropriation of these "found images". At first glance, the intervention of the artists is limited here to the selection and presentation of these found objects, inviting us to radically reconsider their very nature.
