Imaginative cities. Caruka, Raul, Nelson and Yanuci, the four protagonists in the film by Magda Wodecka and Gregory Szeps, are torn between collectivism and individualism. Cuba is changing and their only point of reference is the sea front of Havana, the Malecon, the last bastion in the face of the transformation of their society. Bordered by a low wall seven kilometres in length – nicknamed the Sofa of Havana – which unites all Cubans, it is the expression of their malaise and their daily battle to live with dignity.
