The "film of the book" is a genre that doesn’t exist, but books play an important, indeed central, role in a few experimental film classics such as those by Frampton, Smithson or Latham. For BOOK MACHINE (Paris), some filmmakers and artists have agreed to entrust films to us or to make films for us. A commentary is added here.
