The event is over
Between the island of Crash Park and the stage of Farm Fatale which the scarecrow-actors transform into a damaged earth that we can relearn to live on, a series of discussions and performance-conferences is presented from 1 to 4 October before the shows. They are united by a common concern: for the biosphere and the multi-specific lives that must be cared for and taught to share memories and narratives.
Opening with a dialogue between philosopher Bruno Latour and director Philippe Quesne, the "Lives to Defend" series will witness in turn a performance in which the philosopher Emanuele Coccia will try his hand on Crash Park island, the afternoon devoted to encounters with Zone-to-Defend and Lives-to-Defend advocates to which journalist Jade Lindgaard invites eco-feminist thinkers and militants for Bure and other struggling regions, and the conference-poem "Comme une pluie" [Like Rain] which historian Marielle Macé will present in conclusion but also to announce the beginnings and open up horizons.
