Radio Lifeline
avril 2003
In 2003 the Freeplay Foundation decided to design a non-commercial radio called Lifeline functioning on mechanical or solar energy. Its user can either turn a crank – which winds up a spring, which in turn activates a generator, thus transforming mechanical energy into electrical energy – or power it by exposing it to solar energy.
