In vivo danse – C’ le chantier
19 Jun 2021

"If I swim and suddenly wonder what swimming is all about, I sink to the bottom. If I dance and ask myself what dancing is all about, I fall to the ground." This maxim coined by the philosopher Clement Rosset is adopted by the Argentinean choreographer Ayelen Parolin for her show Simple.
Achieving simplicity with three dancers and a musician is a dauntingly complex task, passing through the banal or the laughable. Composer Oren Boneh is also sensitive to the mechanics of the grotesque, to the frictions between dissimilar logics. He finds, with electronics, his place in this trio of dancers, in this Dadaist world of tinkered wires, collages and recovered objects.
