Julia Gryboś (born in PL) and Barbora Zentková (born in SK) are an artistic duo, based in Berlin (DE) and Brno (CZ) working together since 2010.
They create site-responsive installations, multi-layered environments and performative sound events. In their works they focus on the topic of chronic fatigue and the collapse that arises from it–oscillating between escapistic relaxation and existential anxiety. Recent solo exhibitions include Centre for Contemporary Arts Prague; Album Arte, Roma; Horizont Gallery, Budapest; Karlin Studios; Prague, PLATO Ostrava. They were awarded the Oskár Čepan Award for young artists in 2016.
The work with sound is an important part of their practice. She proposes a musical performance with Jan Tomáš.
