Ryoji Ikeda

With Test Pattern [live set], Japanese composer Ryoji Ikeda, a key figure in minimalist electro music, is continuing his musical and graphical research on the aesthetics of “data”. The third in the series of datamatics, Test Pattern [live set] explores the possible human perceptions of multiple and invisible substances, data which constitutes and saturates our world. This is a sound and visual score that questions the link between a radical, performative approach and the doorway to human perception.
