Roswitha, pratique des avortements pour nourrir son mari Franz, étudiant, et
pour « se payer davantage d'enfants ». La police intervient, Franz est arrêté.
Quand il sort de prison, Roswitha décide de s'engager dans la politique et
l’action sociale. Collage ou puzzle de fiction, d’images documentaires,
d’ombres chinoises, de dessins, de citations de films et de textes, le film
avance au fil des tentatives de Roswitha la combattante, isolée et armée de sa
seule force, pour inventer une révolte dans la société sans pour autant savoir
la porter dans sa famille.
Roswitha carries out abortions to feed her student husband Franz, and so she
can afford to have more children. The police intervene and Franz is arrested.
When he comes out of prison, Roswitha decides to enter politics and social
work. A collage, or a jigsaw made up of fiction, documentary images, Chinese
shadows, drawings, quotations from films and texts. The film advances with
Roswitha—an isolated combatant armed with only her own strength—and her
attempts to invent a revolt in society that she never manages to introduce into
her own family.
