Born in 1956, Vincent Barras lives in Geneva. His education has been in linguistics, music and medicine. He teaches History of Medicine at the University of Lausanne, the History and Anthropology of Sound at the Geneva college of Art and Design whilst simultaneously pursuing research activities, writing for publication (lectures, books, interviews and articles on the history of medicine and health, medicine and psychiatry and on music, poetry and the contemporary arts), as well as translation, programming and performance.
