The Cubists - Inventing Modern Vision

4 Jun - 4 Oct 2026

Centre Pompidou Hanwha, Seoul

Robert Delaunay, « La Ville de Paris ». 1910 - 1912 - Domaine public - Crédit photographique : Centre Pompidou, MNAM-CCI/Georges Meguerditchian/Dist. GrandPalaisRmn

This exhibition brings together works by major figures in the movement, such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris and Fernand Léger, as well as Sonia and Robert Delaunay, alongside artists less familiar to the Korean public, such as Albert Gleizes, Amédée Ozenfant and Natalia Goncharova. Organised in a chronological layout, the exhibition retraces the emergence, spread and international development of Cubism. Divided into eight sections, it features some 90 paintings and sculptures by over 40 artists, including many major works never before presented in Korea.
