"lt was like a dream, but I wasn't asleep. When I came to, I tried to catch the spirit but it had disappeared."
This was how Noviadi Angkasapura described the apparition, on his 24th birthday, of
a supreme being and whose messenger he has become. Since then, drawing has been the medium through which he communicates the concepts of "peace" and "patience" transmitted by the spirit. Deeply rooted in the lndonesian imaginary, his works portray anthropomorphic figures and mythological animals, often surrounded by enigmatic writings. Prayers and fantastic creatures encapsulate the spiritual and mystical dimension of his art. His work is imbued with a fascinating aura and is a message to humanity.
