The event is over
For this new collective performance unfolding in two spaces – beginning on the fifth floor of the museum and culminating in the Forum-1, the artist examines the contemporary human condition and the mythologies that govern our lives like invisible manipulating forces.
Alternating metaphorical representation and tableaux vivants, the performers work not only with different bodily functions, touch, breath becoming voice, gaze and its directionality, but also its absence – this way, they evoke states of boredom, violence, and hope. During all this, the artist’s glass works stand as silent witnesses to the ghostly presence of the performers’ bodies, and large architectural props evoke a kingdom that is both mythical and disconcertingly virtual.
