Choreographic and musical installation-performance.
Spanish choreographic artist based in London since 1997, La Ribot has always been attached to dance and strived to surpass the boundaries of what we expect from this art form. The rigor of her approach undermines traditional tenets of performance, as the artist tries to suspend or make the moment of uncertainty linger on, like threshholds leading onto spaces of emotion, marked by life experience.
Culmination of a project which she launched ten years ago, Panoramix presents, for the first time, the three cycles which make up the 34 Pièces distinguées, so called in tribute to French composer Erik Satie and his Trois valses distinguées du précieux dégoûté.
