1940-1965: 25 years of an extremely successful relationship between Vincente Minnelli and M.G.M.'s representative Arthur Freed, the producer of the greatest Hollywood musicals. In a quarter of a century, Minnelli made about thirty films and worked with a dozen or so directors of similar prestige on scripts and the staging of several musicals.
The Centre Pompidou is paying its respects by showing his entire work for the first time in France, as well as several films he was involved in, with in particular, some very beautiful colour prints.
