Textile - which circulates, is exchanged, and transforms itself in the course of periods and communities - is a recurrent material in the work of Ulla von Brandenburg.
lnspired by the world of theatre, the artist adopts a variety of mediums and references (literature, psychoanalysis, magic ... ) to produce enigmatic works that explore the links between reality and illusion. ln this film, the camera advances through sheets of fabric like a body that cannot be seen. The heady soundtrack - voices repeating the letters of the title which form a poem by the Polish poet Wistawa Szymborska - strengthens the interplay between presence and absence.
